Designing for Readers, Not Just Search Engines
A short essay on writing blog posts that humans actually want to read end to end.
Designing for Readers
The best blog posts keep one reader in mind: a busy person who landed on your page from a link and wants to know if it's worth their time.
Lead with the takeaway
Open with the conclusion. If the reader leaves after the first paragraph, they should still have the main idea.
Cut the throat-clearing
Skip "In this article, we will explore…" — just start.
Use concrete examples
Abstract advice is forgettable. A specific instance sticks.
